Check out Marco Arnaudos' video review of Death Ride Hafid Ridge; or a written review of Death Ride Hafid Ridge at BoardgameGeek. or a written review by Michael Eckenfels from the Wargamer.com of Death Ride Halfaya Pass. This is well written, thoughtful, and highly detailed in its analysis of the game. His conclusion says it best: "Overall this is a fantastic game. It is just small enough to learn and play in a single sitting, it won't take up a huge amount of room if it DOES take more than one sitting (for whatever reasons), and the design and look of the pieces are great." Michael Eckenfels V************************************* Death Ride Games ***************************************V Death Ride Kursk The entire XLVIII Panzer Korps (GD, 3Pz, 11Pz) done in platoons and 1st Tank Army in companies. Can the US 36th, 45th and British 46th and 56th Divisions stay ashore? Death Ride Hafid Ridge A small introductory game set in the desert in 1941 where a British tank charge against a well defended hill, Hafid Ridge, came to a bloody and quick end. Take a look at Marco Arnaudos' video review. Death Ride Halfaya Pass Another small introductory game set in the desert in 1941 during Operation BattleAxe that has the British attempting to clear the Halfaya, or "Hellfire", Pass. All these games focus on company and platoon combat and combined arms use. The time scale is 1 or 2 hours per turn and each hex is 330 meters. There are enhancements to certain models that provide more detail and yet are still simple to learn and play. They are always short, uncomplicated, and yet provide lots of detail and fun. They will be focused on Maintenance, Logistics, Air operations, and in some cases (Salerno) Amphibious. The Amphibious model will be from troops ships to shore. |
